My SS Layout

I had a good time at the SS tonight, Natasha did a good job challenging us. These were her steps:

Step 1: Choose 3 or 4 photos. Crop them into circles. The circles can be the same size or different sizes. Your choice.

Step 2: If you chose 3 photos, choose 6 papers. If you chose 4 photos, choose 5 papers. Crop them into circles. The circles can be the same size or different sizes, and the papers can be patterned, or solids, or a combination of both. Your choice. You will have a total of 9 circles!

Step 3: Journal IN two papers and AROUND one paper. Journal AROUND 2 photos. Link or group the photo/paper and journaling so you can move them around.

Step 4: Add a title IN one paper circle, using an alpha somewhere in the title. Link or group the paper and the text together so you can move it around.

Step 5: Arrange your 9 circles how you would like, leaving the background white

Step 6: Add the following embellishments: a tag, a bracket, a brad (or button), a string (or ribbon) After you have added these embellishments, you can add additional ones if you need or want!

Step 7: Add a date (if you did not in the journaling), drop shadows (if needed) Upload your LO to the STS gallery, and post a link back in the forum so we can leave some love!

Luckily I already had these photos edited. I took a little creative liberty, by journaling around my photos and not around the papers. I used my new kit 1-2-3 Blow! Don't forget it's only $2 through Monday night.

Speed Scrap #47

STS is having two speed scraps tomorrow (July 29th)! I know I mentioned the SS that my CT Natasha will be hosting at 7pm MST. I just wanted to show you what the PP will be.

I made four 5x7 brag book pages using Blueberry Cream and Strawberry Fudge. Natasha made two adorable coordinating wordarts. I love how everything turned. Hope to see you there. Hop on over and let us know if you'll be there.

This weeks $2 deals at STS

So... I was only going to offer A Spring Scene for $2 this week, but at the last minute I decided to also add my latest kit: 1-2-3 Blow! I figured, why not? I thought it might give everyone a little push to participate in the QP exchange challenge I will be hosting in August and in my Desktop Challenge.

Also, I'm sponsoring a Speed Scrap tomorrow night at STS (7 pm MST). My CT Natasha will be hosting. It's going to be a blast! I'll post the PP soon, you're going to like it. :) Happy Scrapping!

$2 Tuesday at TDC

TDC just added four pages of items to this week's $2 Tuesday sale!

Mari is offering tons of stuff! Remarks:The Collection is normally $10, great deal. She is also offering Small Date Stickers, XOXO The Album, Winelands and Cool Cool Summer (both collabs with Sarah Jones). I know it's not winter, but Mari is also offering the sweetest winter kit: Snow Kisses.

I made this layout recently, used one of my favorite photos of my son. He was 16 months old here.

Gypsy Couture is offering Blissful Morning. I posted a layout using this kit a few weeks ago... very lovely.

Let me first thank my CT Tracy for suggesting the awesome name- Thank You!

Aren't those the funnest colors?! This kit is loaded- 20 papers, 53 elements and 4 full alphas! Don't forget the whole store is 25% off all day today (Saturday, the 25th)... so you can pick this puppy up for only $2.99 today. I'll even let you in on a little secret. I'm hosting August's Quick Page Exchange challenge and this is the featured kit! So if you are planning on playing along this would be the time to pick it up. I promise you are going to get some awesome QP's!

Check out this beauty from Tracy

Save BIG at TDC!

The Digi Chick is having a store wide 30% off sale through the weekend!

This includes new releases. Gypsy Couture just released the Quirky Chronicles and Swift Kick in the... Journal Prompts. I really enjoyed working with both. Here is my layout...

Sigh... he was so tiny. Actually, he wasn't tiny at all... he was born looking like a two month old! He was still my tiny baby though.

Seeing as the whole store is on sale I thought I'd make another recommendation. Tropical Escape is a previously released collab by Mari Koegelenberg and Erica Zane.

It is perfect for summer photos! I've already used it twice. One of the layouts was for a Scraplift Tag so I can't show it yet. Here is a layout I can show you though, isn't that face adorable?

August Desktop Challenge

I just posted August's Desktop Challenge, make sure to check it out. I think it'll be a fun one. This month I want you to be happy and motivated! You may scrap your desktop however you wish. I scrapped myself a birthday desktop, since I will be turning 30 on the 20th! I'm excited, I love birthdays. The picture is my motivation. That's me... or at least it was me. That picture was taken the night before I found out I was pregnant. In the year before getting pregnant I lost 50 pounds by eating healthy and working out. I've been putting it off, but I finally started getting active again. I need to get healthy. That picture is meant to motivate me - I've done it before and I can do it again.

Do you like it? I used my new kit... the one I mentioned earlier. I love it! You can also pick up the calendar in the challenge thread.

Here is an update on my new found motivation to walk. I took today off because I didn't sleep very well last night. In the last week I walked a total of 22 miles, all while pushing my son! Isn't that great?! I know it does not compare to how much I was working out before, but I am on my way...

I'll be back tomorrow, Gypsy Couture is releasing a new kit and I have a very special layout to share. Speaking of which, you can win her kit here.
