A Special Layout And A Designer Call

I made another layout using a different template from Manda's Template #5 (see previous post), I also used Dani's Pomme D'Amour kit. Its in Spanish. The title reads: "My Mother My Hero" and the journaling reads: "Despite everything that has happened to you in life you remain one of the kindest most noble people I know. You dedicated your whole life and being to us. I want you to know that your sacrifices were not in vain. I am the woman I am today because you are my mother. One thousand thank yous for everything. I adore you! April 26 2009".

My First CT Call!

I’m looking for a few fun and talented girls to help me promote my designs.

Requirements: I’m pretty laid back, all I ask is that you complete at least one layout with every kit you choose to download. Post these layouts to STS and DSA galleries.

Dani's New Releases

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Dani Alencar, her designs and her layouts. They are really fun, she has a great way of working with papers and colors. I always enjoy working with her templates. She released a new set at TDC on Thursday, she also released a new Label Your Date set. I made this layout using her kits Confetti (currently 30% off) and A Man's Worth.



I've had some family issues to take care of, but I'll be back soon.

Finally, here is my very first Alpha! It complements both my Strawberry Fudge and Blueberry Cream kits. I call it Creamy Fudge…. can you tell I love sweets? LOL! I had a lot of fun creating it and am very happy with how it turned out. I’ve started working on my next kit, it’ll be an extra special surprise. I do want to send a very special thank you to Anita for the wonderful suggestion. I’ll keep you all posted…

Dani has a new kit and some inspiration!

Dani released her new kit Confetti at TDC today, its 20% off for the day. It was such a fun kit to work with, very colorful. I used it to scrap a picture I took of my son when he was just eight months old. Here is my layout:



Now that things are starting to settle down from my move I’m trying to catch up on my scrapping. I don’t know about you, but I love challenges! They have really fun weekly challenges at TDC, you get to earn points good towards store discounts or even a $10 store gift certificate! Everyone is really nice, I suggest you check it out.

Fun Challenges and Templates!

First, Dani is hosting an All About Me challenge this month at Go Digital Scrapbooking. The challenge is to scrap a layout about an important event you shared with your significant other. She is even offering a free template to get you started! You are not required to use it to participate in the challenge, its just a little bonus. Dani is so nice!

This is the layout I made for the challenge using Dani’s awesome “A Man’s Worth” kit, recently released at The Digi Chick and Go Digital Scrapbooking.



I used the bonus template she is giving out and her adorable “Guga’s Brother” kit for my layout. You can pick up the kit at GDS. It’s so cute! Here is my layout:



Manda is hosting a template challenge at the Stuff To Scrap Forum. (You do need to register for the forum, but its super easy and fast.) This template was so much fun to work with. I was RAK’ed by Kelley Mickus from TDC this week. I used her gorgeous “Whisper” kit for my layout. My layout was LOTD at OSS! Yay!




On a side note, I finished my first Alpha today! It matches both my Strawberry Fudge kit and Blueberry Cream. I’ll be posting it in a few days, so make sure to come back for it. Below is a preview. I also finished my contribution to a blog train that will take place in early May. I am ready to start my next kit… so if you have any requests for a theme – I am all ears!

Blueberry Cream Freebie!

Well, I finally made it to Milwaukee a few days ago and things are starting to settle down. I finished the elements to my newest kit earlier today. I designed it to complement Strawberry Fudge. A few of the basic elements are the same, but in the new color scheme. If you see an element or paper that you like and would like it in the other color scheme let me know and I'll happily make it happen. I'm already working on a new kit, I'll be participating in my first blog train next month. I'll post more details soon.

A few extra details: Cork board background is for preview only and not included. Papers shown smaller than actual size. Not all elements shown. Shadows are for preview purposes only (although some elements are slightly shadowed for realism). This is for Personal Use only.
