June Desktop Calendar Challenge

Hi everyone!

My new Desktop Challenge for June is up at STS, you can check it out here.

This month's challenge is an Inspiration Challenge. I want you to be inspired by events you want to remember. How you choose to put together your desktop will be entirely up to you, but I want you to include the following two things: 1) A calendar, I want you to mark important dates for this month. 2) Only use one photo, it should be over a year old and a moment you want to remember... you'll get to enjoy it the whole month!

Here is my desktop for June. My calendar marks some family birthdays and an upcoming trip. As my husband pointed out, I missed Father's Day... OOPS! Make sure you don't make the same mistake. The picture is of my son, taken my very first Mother's Day back in 2007. He was sitting on my lap, I love how this photo shows the way he was looking at me... one of my favorites. I used my new kit "Roxy" to compliment his rockin' shirt!

To get everyone going, I'm giving away my calendar in two different versions along with two markers. They are shown smaller than actual size in the preview, so you are free to also use them in your layouts. You are not required to use my calendars, you can use any calendar you'd like. You can pick it up in the forum.

I'm already seeing some great desktops, you should come join us! Also, for those of you that might not be familiar with our challenges at STS: You are free to use any kits you'd like, however you do earn an extra 5 points per challenge if you use a kit by an STS designer. This month my desktop challenge is worth 15 points. You are not required to extract your photo, but if you do I will give you 5 bonus points for your time and effort! Hope to see you there.

P.S. I will be back later today with my June Blog Train post... you know what that means - more freebies!

Once again, here is my part:

Here is Jenasis Design's part:

Before I get to my little gift, I have a few more layouts I'd like to show you.

Isn't this adorable? This layout is by Natasha:

Here is another layout by Chris, I really like how she worked with the ball chain and the tag.

My final layout for tonight is by Ányi, who proves that this kit is even perfect for scrapping wedding photos!

Don't forget the kit and button alphas are on sale 30% off through Sunday, you can pick them up here. As a thank you for stoppin by... I made you a quickpage! Hope you like it.

ROXY! New Kit...

Shelby of Jenasis Design and I desided to get together for a little collab, which was released tonight! I have to tell you I absolutely love this kit, it's just so much fun! We are each selling our part of the kit separately, here is mine:

Now let me just say that this kit is huge... it has 20 papers, 55 elements and a full alpha! Not all are shown in the preview. I had so much fun designing this kit that I made four coordinating button alphas, as a bonus they include the checkered background paper I used in the preview.

As a treat I have marked them both down 30% through the weekend. That means that you can get the entire kit for $2.79 and the four alphas for $1.74! Now, that is just crazy! You can pick them up in my store here.

I have some awesome LO's from by CT's to share with you.

First up is Teri, she recently joined my CT. Technically my CT call was already closed when I got her email... but when I saw her work I just couldn't help myself! See for yourself:

This is just an all around fun LO by Chris:

This great LO is by Ányi, I really like how she clustered her elements:

Check out this rockin' LO by Tracy, I love everything about it!

I adore this LO by Natasha... I'm a sucker for old photographs and I love her sweet title.

Make sure to check out the kit, I guaranty you will not be disappointed. Also, make sure you come back to the blog tomorrow... I'll have more layouts and a little freebie for you if you do. See you soon!

Cards For Our Heroes!

Welcome to the next stop on Cards For Heroes' Memorial Day Blog Hop!

For those of you that follow my blog and might not be familiar with CardsForHeroes.Org I thought I'd take a moment to tell you a little about them. They are a great non-profit group that arrange for people to send our troops cards of encouragement. They also get them blank cards so they can write home on. As if that wasn't awesome enough... they want them to be homemade! Now, when I found out about this organization and their blog hop I knew right away that I wanted to participate. My husband was in the Air Force for eleven years, he still has the cards he received from "strangers" while he was deployed. They really mean a lot to him. Thank you Cards For Heroes and thank you to everyone out there making a difference in the lives of our troops.

If you've stopped here mid-point, I suggest you take some time and start the blog hop from the beginning here. The blog hop is comprised of crafters and many are offering RAK's to hoppers leaving comments... I thought I would share also. If you are into digital scrapbooking or would like to try let me know in your comment. I will choose one random winner to receive a $5 gift card to my store.

This is the card I made for the blog hop:

Here is a very cool Word Cloud made with the participating Bloggers' names... can you find me in there?

Your next stop in this hop is Lida. Take a moment to enjoy her beautiful card and leave her some love. I really enjoyed her blog, she is quite the crafty lady. Also, her blog is bilingual! You can reach Lida's blog HERE.

A Spring Scene Mini Kit

Ok, so I first designed this kit as a very small mini kit to give as a PP for SS#24, which I hosted at STS. The PP included exactly what you see in the preview below.

Well, when I added it to my store I felt it needed more, so I made a few more papers and added more basic elements like ribbons, frames and stitches. I also made some super cute rain drops! I chose to keep the preview the same because I really liked it and I was a little short on time. I thought I would share the new elements here.

I really like this kit, actually I love it! I like it so much that I still want to keep working on it. At the time I didn't make any patterned papers because I didn't want them to distract from the sweet little elements. Don't know if I should rethink that. Maybe I'll make a full kit. Or maybe I'll do something else that I just thought of right now... hmm, I'll keep that idea to myself for now. I'll let you know soon though. In the mean time if you like it, you can pick it up here for only $2.49.

Here are a few layouts by some of my CT's.

Ányi made this LO using A Spring Scene, the stitched border from Blueberry Cream and a few flowers from Strawberry Fudge.

Chris scrapped this cute Easter bunny photo, the colors work perfectly.

This layout is from Noelle, I like how she used the kit differently.

I am ending with two layouts by Jackie. I like how she was able to make a manly layout using such a cutesy kit.

Now, this next layout has to be one of my favorites. I really like how she clustered the flowers. Can you believe she had the idea of using the rain drops as tears? Genius!

Hope you like my kit and I hope you've enjoyed the layouts.

A Few More Layouts and a QP

First I'd like to share two more LO's using Like No Other:

Tracy made this beautiful page using the kit and the Add-on. Isn't it beautiful? She turned it into a QP, you can pick it up on her blog here.

Natasha made this for the Theme Challenge at STS. This month's theme is Mothers. I really like this LO, the bright colors are so well balanced.

I was browsing the STS Gallery and came across this gorgeous layout. Amber made it for the Recipe Challenge at STS. She used Blueberry Cream and Creamy Fudge Alpha. I loved this layout as soon as I saw it in the gallery, I think it's great!

Like No Other Layouts

I just wanted to show these off :)

Amber was the first person to make a purcase at my store, as a thank you I RAK'ed her with this kit. She made this awesome layout and is even giving away her wordart as a freebie. You can pick it up on her blog here. Make sure to leave her some love.

Manda of Nibbles Skribbles made this great layout:

I love this layout by Natasha:

Ányi started making layouts right away. It was hard to choose just one,but I like how colorful this one is. You can see more on her blog.

Here is a sweet one from Sandra:

Here is Chris' layout, I really like how the black & white picture looks surrounded by pinks.

Last, but certainly not least is one from Noelle. How lucky to still have five gerations in the family!

Aren't they great? I might be back with more layouts this weekend. Thanks everyone!

A Mother's Love Is Like No Other...

Well, that pretty much explains how I chose the name of my newest kit "Like No Other". I absolutely love how it turned out, I think it's my favorite kit so far. I just couldn't stop working with it, the kit is huge! I wanted to take minute and show it off a bit...

This is the full kit:

I also made an Add-on Mini Kit that I gave away for Mother's Day before releasing in my store:

I was in the mood to scrap a little, so this morning I made a few Quick Pages. I decided to release them in my store. There are three QP's and I even made a bonus Alpha for everyone to complete their layouts with! They are available in 12x12 and 8.5x11. Hopefully someone will find use for them.

Aren't the colors beautiful? I think they really helped the kit come together. In case you we're wondering how I came up with the color scheme, I'll tell you... I was inspired by a bedroom I saw in House Beautiful magazine. Everything is available in my store and is currently on sale. You'll find them here. I'll be back soon with some layouts made by my CT.

Out To Sea Layouts

Good morning!
I wanted to share a couple layoutss my CT made using Out To Sea. I just released this kit Monday at STS. I love how it turned out, I had a lot fun designing it. Don't forget you can head over to their blogs if you'd like to see more of their layouts.

I'll start with Natasha. You should head over to her blog, not only does she have more layouts... she also has a Wordart Freebie to give away!

Sandra made this awesome double page layout for Manda's May Template Challenge. She has more layouts to show you and she will also have a little freebie soon. You should check out her blog.

This awesome layout is from Ányi, she has a lot more great layouts if you'd like to check them out.

This is just one of Chris' layouts, I love love the composition of this layout. You can check out her blog here.

Here is one from Noelle, I like how she turned it into a patriotic kit.

Claudia made this adorable layout:

Aren't they great? You should check out my store I just added the full Like No Other kit and A Spring Scene mini kit. I'll post more about them soon...
